SUPERHERO ANDY MURRAY (Illustration: David Boller)

Andy Murray as Comic Book Style Superhero

David Boller illustrates for UNDER ARMOUR

We are happy for David, who has managed to pull off a job for sports goods manufacturer UNDER ARMOUR: reimagining tennis superstar Andy Murray as a british superhero.

This illustration is the center piece of a new campaign, that celebrates the comeback of the current ATP number one to the Aegon Championships - a tournament set in London in June, which Murray won 5 times in recent years.

Gathering experience by working for Marvel and DC in the past, David is Funky Frame's superhero expert. He stages Murray in a heroic pose set against the backdrop of London's most iconic sights.

In the visual Murray is wearing the new collection of Under Armour, featuring the chest logo that most costumed crusaders like to bear, all painted in the colors of the Union Jack.

Befitting the hero theme, David´s visual was showcased in various locations throughout London on larger than life billboards.

David appreciates Andy Murray not only for his achievements in the sport, but also for his work ethics and for being a role model. Thus, this job was not only a lot of fun, but also a great honor for the Swiss illustrator.

Also, truth be told: who else would be a better choice to be depicted in a slim fit superhero costume, than the buff scotch workhorse Andy Murray?!

By the way: Rainer (Funky Frame) who is a huge Murray fanboy himself, said he is a tiny bit jealous of David.

He also admits that David was the perfect choice for this particular job, though:)

This way to a selection of David's Comic-Samples...
